Foundational Yoga | Every Thursday 10:45am-11:45am commencing 17 October

Yoga TLC will be offering Foundational Yoga Classes at Indigo Soul Wellness every Thursday beginning on Thursday 17 October. These sessions are for anyone 

  • wanting to start their yoga journey, 

  • returning to their practice after an injury or a break

  • feeling a little overwhelmed in the standard class. 

Yoga is an ancient practice and this mind-body system has the power to help your health in many different ways. Yoga is more than just a physical work-out and pretty-looking postures. Traditionally, yoga consists of various components such as postures (eg. tree pose), breathing practices, deep relaxation and also meditation.

Our Foundational Yoga classes will run every Thursday from 10:45-11.45am (commencing on Thursday 17 October) and are ideal for beginners, people returning to yoga after injury or those wanting to go back for basics.

Participants will learn how to:

Breathe Effectively 

The quality of the breath expresses our inner feelings and is the link between the inner and the outer body. During the practice of yoga, every movement is led by the breath. 

Find your Alignment 

The correct alignment of our joints is important during yoga. But anatomically, we are slightly different, so we have to work with our bodies and accept where we are. 

Transition Safely 

It takes time to build the strength to move through certain sequences of yoga postures. It is vital that we first build the strength and the knowledge to be able to move from one pose to another safely. 

Become More Aware

Sometimes it seems we have become disconnected from our body. We will embark on a journey to create more awareness in our own bodies.
