Yoga for Back Care 5 Week program with Yoga TLC | Commencing Tuesday 18th September 4:45pm-5:45pm

Chronic back pain afflicts us more than ever and has become an epidemic of our modern society. These simple, hour-long “Back Care Yoga” sessions will take you on a journey to explore yoga as a powerful healing tool for body and mind.

Neen from Yoga TLC will teach you evidence-based movement patterns targeted towards relieving pain and discomfort along your spine. You will learn how to reconnect with your body in a compassionate way by simply creating more space in your spine. You will leave each session with many techniques to practice when you experience pain or simply wanting to prevent back pain from emerging.

This program is suitable for all levels of yoga experience, even if you have never practiced yoga before.

Why do these sessions?

Many of us are troubled by chronic back pain - may that be as a result of our modern lifestyle in which we do not move around as much anymore, or due to postural deficiencies or accidental injuries. Over time, the stiffness can cause damage to our bodies, leaving us with stiffness in the back, bad mood and irritation. But we don’t have to let an occasional pinch develop into a chronic condition. Yoga can be used to help us break free from this vicious cycle. An increasing amount of research recognizes that by practicing yoga, we can improve the function of our back as well as the neck & shoulders. Furthermore, yoga has proven to help improve overall posture.

Yoga Poses

Practice a simple and restful sequence of stretches to release tension in the back and calm the nervous system. We will build up to more strength-building yoga poses throughout these sessions.

Breathing Techniques

Breathing is so simple, yet it is one of the most powerful tools. Discover the power of the breath and how to use it when you are starting to feel discomfort. Learn how to effectively use the breath to create space in the spine.

Relaxation

We will finish each session with a few moments of relaxation. Soften back into your body and connect to the inner peace that is sitting within us. You will leave with a feeling of inner peace and well-being and walk out of the session glowing.

$115 for non-members
